Tommi is passionate about developing, selling, and building Radio Access Networks (RAN)and Microwave Radio Links (MWR), and seeing his Communication Services Provider (CSP) and Enterprise customerswith Private/Dedicated Wireless Networksthrive in delivering ever better services in mobile broadband and Internet of Things (IoT).As the head of Nokia’s Mobile Networks(MN)Business Groupsince end of 2018, Tommi is shaping not only mobileindustry, but society itself by bringing 5G, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Open RAN, and Cloud RANto the marketto fuel fourth industrial revolution.

His previous roles include leading worldwide product sales of Nokia’s Mobile Networksandheading all of Nokia’s networks business in West Europe. After having joined the industry in Microwave Radio Link business during the heyday of 2G/GSM, Tommi played a key part in introducing and rolling outNokia’s3G/WCDMAand 4G/LTE technologiesto the market. He was heading Nokia’sLTE Radio Access business line at the timewhen4G/LTEserviceswere launched inthe pioneering markets ofSouth Korea, Japan, and Scandinavia.

Tommi holds Master’s degrees from the Helsinki University of Technology, Finland, and Michigan Technological University, USA. He is based in Finland and has also lived in the US and France.
